We're hosting our release party for "Cellar Door" and you're invited! But first, my friends are running a great Kickstarter I think you'll love - and it ends TONIGHT.
Do You Like Scary Movies?
We both know that you do. My friends at the Cult Classic Horror Show Podcast are running a Kickstarter for their first original horror film, "She Walks The Woods." In this feature-length found footage horror flick, a team of adventurers is about to discover why 1,600 people disappear in our national parks each year.
I watched a review copy, and the last twenty minutes scared the crap out of me!

We're almost at the finish line with Cellar Door! As of today, we have sent our digital rewards, and by the end of the month we'll have the finished hardcovers!
Digital Rewards
I owe you a big apology here - I should have sent these a lot sooner. I have this old-fashioned sense of releasing the digital and physical at the same time so all backers can enjoy the stories at the same time in their preferred format.
But you asked, and I listened, so I've sent the digital rewards now and will be doing so for all future Kickstarters.
If you're getting the digital edition of Cellar Door, you received a download link earlier today from our fulfillment partner, BackerKit.
If you're getting a single digital comic, you received a download link today in a private message via Kickstarter.
If you did not receive your download link, send us a message or comment here and we'll pass them along directly.

Hardcovers Coming July 31st!
I admit I've had a few updates since last time, but it's been a bit of a roller coaster (who knew international importing was so complicated) and I didn't want to bore you with the tedium until I had concrete results.
Well, now I have them: our printer will be delivering the "Cellar Door" hardcovers to us on July 31st!
That does NOT mean we will be able to ship them the same day. Shipping could still be delayed locally, and we need time to pack and label everything.
I will, however, before the end of the week announce the date of the release party. If you're local you'll be able to pick up you rewards in person! If not, we will ship your rewards the same week.
Stay tuned for more updates later this week, and thank you all for your patience as we bring you the best possible product! The other creators and I are super excited to share this with you.

Can I Have Your Autograph?

Hello my fellow horror freaks,
I have some exciting progress to report on "Cellar Door"! We might be waiting on the printer, but we're working hard at prepping the other rewards including digital rewards which I will send out this week!
Where Is Cellar Door?
I've been biting my nails waiting to hear from our printer that the books are ready, and I'm not used to just being stuck in "wait and see" because I'm a huge control freak. But after I've given our revisions to the proof to the printer, there's been nothing to do but wait for them to print.
But meanwhile, we have other rewards to prepare so that we're ready to ship as soon as the books arrive. So last night...
Signing Party!
As you know, anyone who got the Deluxe Edition or above is getting a Kickstarter-exclusive bookplate, autographed by the creators. Wranging 15 artists and writers should have been difficult but everyone who worked on "Cellar Door" loves this book and loves you, so they jumped on it!
The Kickstarter Exclusive Autographed Bookplate
First, I sent out these bookplates to Ryan Fleharty and Matt Hastings ("The Norman Inversion") in Denver Colorado, and they passed them along to Troy Namath, also of Denver ("Undeath Before Dishonor").
They shipped them back to me, and I got the local gang together last night to sign them for you.

It was super cool to get (almost) everyone together in the same place and it was cool to make some serious progress that was actually in our control!
Digital Rewards
Finally, there's no reason I need to wait on digital rewards anymore except I'm paranoid and reviewing things for copy editing - it's time to let these birds leave the nest.
I'll be sending out digital rewards this week, and I appreciate your patience with my being a paranoid perfectionist.

Our Proof Copy Has Arrived!

First of all, a happy tenth birthday to Kickstarter! Without this platform, creators like me have a chance to reach you directly. This means YOU decide what comics you want to read, and not some faceless corporation aggregating statistics and stereotypes.
Second, I'm happy to announce that I have received the physical proof copy of Cellar Door! I must say, it looks amazing!
Not a mockup!
I've finished reviewing it, and Christine is helping me look it over to make sure everything has printed as expected, and we plan to approve the proof tonight. After this, it will take about 3-4 weeks for us to get the books in.
We will be using the next month to prepare the other rewards, like the autographed bookplates and collector's box. I'll keep you posted on that as I go!
In the meantime, thank you all for your continued patience!

An Important Update About Cellar Door

It's time for a long overdue update about Cellar Door! I want to give you the news about our progress, tell you what's next, and give you a look at our Kickstarter Exclusive bookplate!
I'll have more updates coming more quickly as we get closer to release time, and I'll give you a thorough accounting of what took so long. But without further delay...
Where's Cellar Door?
Good news - Cellar Door is on its way now. There were some issues with our original proof, and we had to make some corrections, but now the printer has the updated files and a proof is on its way. I'll share a "proof review" video with you once I have it!
If there are no more undue delays, we're looking at a release date of mid to late May.
What's Next?
Because we're ready to lock in order quantities, I am closing our pre-order store Friday and we will be charging cards for add-ons then.
To reiterate: you have already been charged for your pledge and will NOT be charged again. However, if you've added anything on to your pledge, those charges will come through on Friday.
